…was founded to combine continuous innovation with more than
35 years of experience in WFI distillation, Pure Steam generation, and clean water systems.
Our first design, introduced in 1981, eliminated key disadvantages such as leaking heat exchangers and the “carry-over” of impurities caused by high steam velocities. The distillation unit was the first on the market to combine the strengths of traditional distillation techniques with new developments such as multi-step separation and proportional regulation.
Although the core design remains, continuous improvements have made the Aqua-Nova AB unit one of the most reliable water stills on the market. In 1994, we introduced the COMBI units, enabling withdrawal of any amount of Pure Steam without affecting WFI production capacity. This innovation resulted in significant cost savings in investment, installation, and validation. New developments have also been made for the production of ultra-clean water for microbiological and cell cultivation. We have always worked closely with our clients to adapt equipment to site-specific conditions, providing comprehensive advice and support for optimal performance of delivered installations.

In 2007, Sofinn SA and Kärrberg Konsult each acquired Aqua-Nova AB.
Mr. Kärrberg, a recognized thermodynamics specialist, also owns 100% of the Swedish manufacturer Kärrberg Welding, specialized in the design and production of advanced heat exchangers.

Today, Aqua-Nova AB is led with extensive experience in pure steam generation.
The acquisition was motivated by the strong synergy achieved through the combined know-how of Aqua-Nova AB, Sofinn, and Kärrberg Konsult.
